The Environment
The campsite is situated on the edge of the beach of Cap-Blanch and the beginning of the beach of Albir, a beach of smooth white edges, beautiful blue waters just 2 km from the town of Altea.
Altea is famous for its charming village, old magic, its whitewashed houses, once the fishing houses, bohemian appearance of the 50's and 60 's, where poets, painters, musicians, sculptors, singers and law, in love with its beauty and its diverse culture and what makes Altea welcoming and cosmopolitan city it is today. The church square is a place where tourists and residents congregate, and here you can find famous restaurants, pubs, clubs and artesian shops, all with a traditional flavor and taste.
L' Albir, belongs to the municipality of L'Alfas del Pi and only 5 minutes from the campsite. A small town where a dynamic tourist can find all your needs, supermarkets, Tobacconists', hardware stores, clothing store, caravans, etc. It's beach, known as El Rincon de l'Albir (corner del Albir) is located at the foot of the Sierra Gelada Natural Park, a majestic rock formation mountain falling into the sea, where you can find the remains of an ancient mine of ocher, and Albir lighthouse, built beside the ruins of one old lookout built in the seventeenth century. Walks can be taken by a number of roads and routes, one in particular that takes you through the mountains to the famous Cruz de Benidorm.
Benidorm, the most famous tourist destination in Europe, is just 5 km from Altea. During the day visitors can enjoy its beautiful beaches of fine golden sand, all kinds of shops, restaurants and bars, and water theme parks, including Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Aqua Natura, Mundomar and Aqualandia, the largest water park in Europe. At night, Benidorm city becomes a part of the clubs on the seafront, and macro-discos and clubs that relive the night to give the visitors hours of entertainment, fun and a great time.
The microclimate formed by the mountain ranges of Sierra Bernia, Puig Campana include the coastal strip from the inside, creating hot and dry climate in summer and very pleasant and sunny the rest of the year. Also, the proximity of these mountains pleasant excursions in the picturesque Sources of Algar (Algar sources) or El Castell de Guadalest (Guadalest Castle).
The beautiful Costa Blanca is marked by the blue sea and mountains covered with oak, pine and carob trees, and a variety of herbs. There are many coastal villages hidden in these mountains, which are worth a visit: Denia, Xabia, Calpe, Teulada, Benissa and Moraira, Xalas', Denia, Benitachell, Gata de Gorgos, historic charming villages, where travelers can discover the culinary area and quality of wines produced by local wineries.
